Boogie finds himself caught between family obligations and the temptation of a night out like in the good old days.
On his spring break at the seaside, with his wife and his four year old son, Bogdan Ciocazanu runs into his best friends from high-school at the precise date and time that reminds all of them of their most glorious drinking trips and sexual escapades of their younger days. Frustrated that, between his job and his family, time is no longer his to manage and play with, Boogie now takes his shock dosage of freedom and spends a night to tick off all the items on the map of his youth (drinking, games, flirting, prostitutes). In the morning, after the disillusionment of the remake he experiences with his former friends, he returns to his wife.

A sedici anni dalla fatidica data del 22 dicembre 1989, giorno in cui finì la dittatura rumena comunista di Ceaușescu, in una grigia e fredda cittadina a est di Bucarest, una trasmissione televisiva si interroga su cosa realmente è accaduto in quel giorno di rivoluzione: oltre al giornalista sono presenti, nel decadente studio, un professore, perennemente ubriaco, la cui versione sui fatti sembra avere mille falle, e un anziano signore che ai tempi faceva il Babbo Natale per i bambini.
1999. Un treno diretto in Kosovo con attrezzature della Nato, scortato da marines, viene trattenuto in un piccolo comune della Romania, con la scusa della mancanza di documenti doganali, da un capostazione che odia gli americani. I soldati, costretti a una sosta forzata, iniziano a interagire con gli abitanti del paese.
