From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. Mania Akbari is an Iranian film director. Akbari began her artistic career as a painter in 1991. She entered the world of cinema as a director of photography and later as an assistant director of documentaries. In 2002, she starred in Abbas Kiarostami’s Ten and in 2003 co-directed the documentary Crystal. In 2005 she wrote, directed and starred in her first feature film, 20 Fingers, winner of a prize at the Venice Film Festival digital film competition. In 2007, Akbari directed a sequel to Kiarostami's Ten entitled 10+4 (Dah Be Alaveh Chahar) in which she depicts her battle with cancer. (September 22, 1936 – January 6, 2023) was a cinematographer and a member of the Board of Governors of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, as well as the American Society of Cinematographers (ASC). He received five Academy Award nominations for Best Cinematography, for the films The French Connection (1971), The Exorcist (1973), Network (1976), Tootsie (1982), and Wyatt Earp (1994). Roizman was known for collaborating with film directors William Friedkin, Sydney Pollack and Lawrence Kasdan. Jordan Charles Vogt-Roberts is an American film and television director. His feature directorial debut, The Kings of Summer, screened at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival, where it was nominated for the Grand Jury Prize, and also at the 2013 Cleveland International Film Festival. Giancarlo Badessi (1928 – 2011) was an Italian actor. Born in Lecco, at the age of almost 40 Badessi gave up his daily job as an accountant to embrace the theatre, making his debut in a stage play directed by Giancarlo Cobelli. He was also active in cinema and on television, often playing character roles. Badessi died in Rome at the age of 83 from a heart attack, on 6 December 2011.
