​From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Kiichi Nakai (born 18 September 1961) is a Japanese actor. His father, Keiji Sada, also a movie actor, died when Nakai was only two years old. Nakai started his acting career while he was still in university and was awarded the Rookie of the Year of Japan Academy Awards in 1981. He won the Japan Academy Best Supporting Actor award in 1994 (for 47 Ronin) and Best Actor award in 2003 (for Mibu gishi den (When the Last Sword is Drawn). He also won the award for best supporting actor at the 19th Hochi Film Award for 47 Ronin. In 2003 he played a Japanese delegate to a Chinese emperor of the Tang dynasty in Warriors of Heaven and Earth. Though a few of his lines are in Japanese, most are in Mandarin. Vignesh Shivan made a short film and after getting Dharan to compose music for it; showed the film to producers, Gemini Film Circuit, and then to his childhood friend, Silambarasan and both parties agreed to collaborate to make it a feature film titled Podaa Podi (2012). His second film, Naanum Rowdydhaan (2015), like his first film, went through several changes of cast and production studios, before finalising on Vijay Sethupathi and Nayantara as actors and Dhanush as producer. The film, for which he drew inspiration from the lives of his parents, opened to highly positive reviews in October 2015.

After graduation, Chantavit began his work as a freelancer doing screen-writing, assistant directing, off-shot cinematographing and acting coach jobs for GTH. He had done several small roles in a lot of GTH films until 2008 when he started to get one of the main roles in "Hormones". Then he did another lead role in a horror title, "Coming Soon". He also got credited for screen-writing of 4Bia and Phobia 2 during 2008-2009. In 2010, Chantavit became a famous film actor after doing a blockbuster romantic comedy "Hello Stranger" with Neungthida Sopon, in which he also got credited as a co-screenwriter. His role in "Hello Stranger" earned him a Star Hunter award, as one of the 10 most promising young actors in Asia at Shanghai International Film Festival 2011. In 2012, he came back with another blockbuster "ATM: Er Rak Error" along with a new talented actress, Preechaya Pongthananikorn. "ATM" became GTH's highest-grossing film ever at that time (later surpassed by Pee Mak in 2013). In 2013, Chantavit co-screenwrote the phenomenal record-breaking blockbuster "Pee Mak". By this time, his screen-writing became a hot need for several film producers. He's currently dating actress Mai Davika Hoorne, his co-star in the lakorns "Chai Mai Jing Ying Tae" and "Nang Sao Mai Jam Kad Nam Sakul".
