Samantha e Craig sono una coppia appena sposata che desidera enormemente avere un bambino. Purtroppo dalle analisi, risulta che lei non può avere figli quindi, dopo il trauma iniziale, decidono entrambi di ricorrere alla fecondazione artificiale. La clinica che si occupa del loro caso è però in realtà, una clinica dove si fanno degli esperimenti sugli embrioni ed infatti presto la donna capirà che nella sua gravidanza c'è qualcosa di terribile.
