Una dirompente arma chimica è stata rubata in Russia. Intanto in Romania giunge l'agente della Sicurezza Interna americana Sonni Griffith. Fingendosi un trafficante d'armi scopre un grosso giro d'affari che fa capo al boss Bostanescu. Sfuggito ai killer del boss Griffith si vede affidare la protezione di Nadia Cominski, moglie di un importante cassiere della mafia romena, residente a New York ma da lì fuggita con un ingente somma di denaro. Griffith deve riportarla negli States ma, nel frattempo, deve guardarsi da un doppiogiochista che milita nelle fila della CIA. L'arma chimica inoltre sta per arrivare nelle mani di Bostanescu.
