Un giovane e prode cavaliere ritorna nella sua terra natale su chiamata del fratello maggiore per vedere il padre ormai morente. Ricongiungendosi con l'amata di un tempo, si trova però presto ad affrontare una minaccia sovrumana, una terribile bestia alata metà drago metà insetto che terrorizza gli abitanti del suo villaggio.
