L'inquieta e viziata studentessa Jo inavvertitamente carica sul processore del sistema di sicurezza della sua scuola, un virus sperimentale: il "Mangler 2.0". Il sistema di sicurezza si trasforma in un computer estremamente potente, capace di gestire tutti gli elementi meccanici dell'edificio e di trasformarli in macchine di morte, perchè il software è una procedura finalizzata allo sterminio totale! Nessuno potrà salvarsi. Il preside dell'istituto, nel tentativo di fermare la macchina assassina, viene catturato dal mostro tecnologico ed inglobato nei meccanismi fino a diventarne parte integrante. Qualcuno dovrà fermare "The Mangler 2.0", dovrà farlo a tutti i costi, prima che sia troppo tardi.
