She grew up as the youngest sibling of four from British and Czech parents.  She attended grad school in Montreal and has held various jobs, including as a kindergarten teacher in South Korea and attended teachers college at Griffith University in Australia. She studied for a year at Eugene Lang College The New School for Liberal Arts in New York City before dropping out to pursue an acting career. At 19, Singer joined the Upright Citizens Brigade to study improvisational theatre. In 2015, Singer was cast in a main role in the WE TV horror drama series South of Hell, executive produced by Eli Roth and Jason Blum. She portrayed Grace Bledsoe, alongside Mena Suvari and Bill Irwin. The following year, she joined the regular cast of Freeform's teen drama-thriller series Dead of Summer, portraying summer camp counselor Jessie Tyler. In 2017, she portrayed the lead role of Kelley Winters in the Lifetime television film High School Lover, alongside James Franco, Lana Condor and Julia Jones.

Graham John Yost (born September 5, 1959) is a Canadian film and television screenwriter. His best-known works are the films Speed, Broken Arrow, and Hard Rain and the TV series Justified. In 2002, he created the widely acclaimed, yet short-lived drama series Boomtown. He has also written for the television series Herman's Head and Band of Brothers. He also created the short-lived NBC drama Raines. Yost teamed up with Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg, along with two of his fellow Boomtown writers Michelle Ashford and Larry Andries, to write and direct episodes of the HBO miniseries The Pacific. As of 2010, Yost is the creator and executive producer of the series Justified, which premiered on FX in March 2010. Born in Etobicoke, he is the son of Canadian television personality Elwy Yost, the longtime host of the public broadcaster TVOntario's Saturday Night at the Movies. He lives in California with his family.

Sergei Vladimirovich Loznitsa (Belarusian: Сяргей Уладзіміравіч Лазніца, Russian: Сергей Владимирович Лозница, Ukrainian: Сергій Володимирович Лозниця; born 5 September, 1964; Baranovichi, Brest Voblast) is a Ukrainian director of Belarusian origin known for his documentary as well as dramatic films. Born in 1964, Ukrainian filmmaker Sergei Loznitsa grew up in Kiev, and graduated from Kiev Polytechnic in 1987 with a degree in Applied Mathematics. In 1997, Loznitsa graduated from the Russian State Institute of Cinematography (VGIK) in Moscow, where he studied feature filmmaking. Sergei Loznitsa has directed 18 documentary films since 1996 and has received numerous international awards, including festival prizes in Karlovy Vary, Leipzig, Oberhausen, Krakow, Paris, Madrid, Toronto, Jerusalem and St. Petersburg, as well as the Russian National Film awards “Nika” and “Laurel”. Loznitsa’s feature debut My Joy (2010) premiered in competition at the Festival de Cannes, and was followed by In the Fog, which also premiered in competition at the Festival de Cannes in May 2012, where it was awarded the FIPRESCI Prize. His feature film A Gentle Creature premiered in competition at the Festival de Cannes in May 2017.
