Markus Knüfken wuchs in Essen auf. Knüfken machte 1985 in Essen-Kettwig sein Abitur und zog dann nach München, um seinen Zivildienst anzutreten. 1987 arbeitete er für sechs Monate im Paketpostamt München, um sich eine halbjährige Reise nach Australien zu finanzieren. Im April 1988 kam er aus Australien zurück. Er machte den Taxischein und arbeitete als Dauerstatist bei der Bavaria Film für die ARD Reihe Rote Erde. Im Sommer 1990 begann er seine Ausbildung als Schauspieler bei der Schauspielschule Schauspiel München. Nach drei Jahren schloss er die Ausbildung ab. Sein Anfänger-Engagement hatte er im Februar 1994 beim Stadttheater Herford. Zuvor drehte er jedoch bereits seine ersten Fernsehproduktionen. Seine erste große Rolle spielt Knüfken im November/Dezember 1993 als rechtsradikaler Skinhead in der Polizeiruf-110-Folge Samstags wenn Krieg ist unter der Regie von Roland Suso Richter. Es folgten Hauptrollen in Krimi-Reihen wie Tatort und Notruf Hafenkante. Im Jahr 1995 etablierte sich Markus Knüfken mit der Hauptrolle des Eddie Velten in der Serie Auf Achse. Hugues Jean Marie Auffray (born 18 August 1929 in Neuilly-sur-Seine), better known as Hugues Aufray, is a French singer-songwriter and guitarist. Aufray is known for French language covers of Bob Dylan's songs. Aufray knew Dylan and his work from his time in New York City, as well as from record shops, and his translations capture the rawness of the original songs. His most famous original songs are "Santiano", "Céline", "Stewball" and "Hasta Luego". He was born to Henry Auffray, an industrialist and Amyelle de Caubios d'Andiran, (1898-1992) a musician, second cousin of the French author François Mauriac (respectively by their maternal grandfather and maternal grandmother). His sister was actress Pascale Audret (1936–2000) and his niece is actress Julie Dreyfus. Once Aufray's parents divorced, the family left Paris for Sorèze, where he was raised by his mother. During the war, he studied at Sorèze secondary school. In 1945, Aufray joined his father in Madrid, living there for three years. He attended the Lycée Français de Madrid in Madrid, and graduated with his baccalauréat. He then returned to France to start singing in Spanish. He first began writing songs for French singers. After finishing second in a singing competition, he signed a record deal in 1959 with Eddie Barclay. From there, he went on to co-write and arrange many songs, drawing influence from folk, blues and rock. While supporting Peter, Paul and Mary in New York in 1962, he struck up a friendship with Bob Dylan, who would then visit him in Paris in 1964. Although Jean Dasté is best known for his career on stage as both an actor and director in a variety of works including those by Shakespeare and Molière, he made his first appearance on screen in a 1932 Jean Renoir film (Boudu sauvé des eaux), and 57 years later appeared in his final film at the age of 85. He played also the main character in two Jean Vigo movies, L'Atalante and Zéro de conduite. Later, he worked also with Alain Resnais and François Truffaut. He married Danish-born actress Marie-Hélène Copeau (1902–1994), the daughter of the influential French writer, editor, and drama critic Jacques Copeau (1879–1949) and Agnès Thomsen.
