William James Edwards Lee (July 23, 1928 – May 24, 2023) was an American musician. He was the father of Spike Lee and Joie Lee. He composed original music for many of his son's films, including She's Gotta Have It (1986), School Daze (1988), Do the Right Thing (1989), and Mo' Better Blues (1990). Lee was involved in many releases from the Strata-East jazz record label, including directing the 1980 album The New York Bass Violin Choir. Lee played the bass for many artists, including Chris Anderson, Cat Stevens, Harry Belafonte, Chad Mitchell Trio, Gordon Lightfoot, Aretha Franklin, Odetta, Simon and Garfunkel, Ian & Sylvia, Tom Rush, Burt Bacharach, Peter, Paul and Mary, Arlo Guthrie, Tom Paxton, Carolyn Hester, John Lee Hooker, Josh White, Duke Ellington, Malvina Reynolds, Eric Bibb, The Clancy Brothers, and Bob Dylan. On the original release of Dylan's classic song "It's All Over Now, Baby Blue," Lee, on bass guitar, is the only musician performing other than Dylan himself. On Gordon Lightfoot's song Oh, Linda (recorded 1964), Lee is also the only musician other than Lightfoot's voice. Edoardo Bennato
Born: lug 23, 1946
Napoli, Italy
Age: 78

Kaity Tong
Born: lug 23, 1947
Age: 77
Kaity Tong (Chinese: 董恺悌; pinyin: Dǒng Kǎitì; born July 23, 1947) is a Chinese-born American broadcast journalist. She has been a television news anchor in New York City since 1981. Tong's television career began as a reporter for KPIX-TV in San Francisco, where she worked from 1976 to 1979. Originally hired as a writer for the station, Tong was asked to do an on-air test and was immediately promoted to street reporter, where her first on-air story was a report on the new carts that transported people around the airport. In December 1979, she became co-anchor of the 5 p.m. and 11 p.m. newscasts on KCRA-TV in Sacramento, California where she soon became the number one-rated out of all the television news personalities in Sacramento. Referring to the difficulties of having a family and career, she said at the time: "Anchoring is fun. At one time I wanted to be a network reporter, but now I think that is too difficult a life. One of these days I want to have a baby."[6] In 1981, she moved to WABC-TV in New York City. Within two years, she became co-anchor of the station's 5 p.m. and 11 p.m. newscasts, first with Tom Snyder from 1983 to 1984 and later with Ernie Anastos until 1986. She moved to the 6 p.m. newscast, rotating the anchor chair with John Johnson alongside Bill Beutel after Roger Grimsby was fired in 1986, while still co-anchoring the 11 p.m. broadcast with Anastos until he left for WCBS in 1989. Eventually, her sole anchor role was the 11 p.m. news, as Beutel became a solo anchor of the 6 p.m. broadcast. In 1984, she appeared as herself, reporting on the defection of the Soviet circus performer played by Robin Williams in the feature film Moscow on the Hudson. She has also played a newscaster in Wolf, City Hall, Marci X, Night Falls on Manhattan, and the 2004 remake of The Manchurian Candidate.

Alain Alivon, known under the pseudonym Marius (born 23 July 1965 in Marseille), is a French military and drill instructor member of the Commandos Marine unit and the French Navy. He is mostly known for featuring in the 2005 documentary L'École des bérets verts on France 2 in the program Envoyé spécial. He later appeared on film and television, and publishing his autobiography. Alain Alivon spent a difficult childhood at the public assistance of Marseille, and a delinquent teenager in the North Quarter of Marseille and Vitrolles. He studied law but gave up soon after and committed offences with bad frequentations of the period. After a tough custody at the police station, a police officer recommended him to start his military service, giving him a chance to go through ("an intelligent person who knew how to talk to me respectfully, giving me the good tools"). He went to Lorient in the department of Morbihan to join the Fusiliers Marins unit of the French Navy, which had completely changed his mentality. After having accomplished the training tests of the unit, he joined the French Navy and became a volunteer for an internship of commando marine. He finished major of his promotion (top of his graduating class) and obtained the green beret. At the time spent in the unit, he participated in a number of operations, especially in Lebanon, Djibouti and Ivory Coast, and also in France. In his 22 years of military service, he became an emblematic figure of the Commandos Marine and the Commando of Montfort. One of his former instructors nicknamed him "Marius" because of his Marseille origins. He then became a drill instructor, testing the new recruits and volunteers to join the Special forces. He is shown during that function in 2005 in the documentary L'École des bérets verts broadcast on France 2 in the television program Envoyé spécial. He retired from service in 2006. The same year, he joined the Marseille-Fos Port (GPMM) and became a safety and defence agent of the West port basins. In 2016, he again became a drill instructor in the reality program Garde à vous broadcast on M6. Source: Article "Alain Alivon" from Wikipedia in English, licensed under CC-BY-SA 3.0.
