Dick Hein de Lint, known as Derek de Lint, (born 17 July 1950) is a Dutch film and television actor. De Lint was born in The Hague. In 1977, he played the character Alex in the film Soldier of Orange, directed by Paul Verhoeven. In 1986 he played the role of Anton Steenwijk in The Assault, which won the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film in 1986. In 2006, De Lint starred in Verhoeven's Black Book as Gerben Kuipers. From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Edwin Eugene Lockhart (July 18, 1891 – March 31, 1957) was a Canadian-American character actor, singer, and playwright. He also wrote the lyrics to a number of popular songs. He became a United States citizen in 1939. Born in London, Ontario, the son of John Coats Lockhart and Ellen Mary (née Delaney) Lockhart, he made his professional debut at the age of six when he appeared with the Kilties Band of Canada. He later appeared in sketches with Beatrice Lillie. Lockhart is mostly remembered for his film work. He made his film debut in the 1922 version of Smilin' Through, as the Rector, but did not make his sound debut until 1934 in the film By Your Leave, where he played the playboy Skeets. Lockhart subsequently appeared in more than 300 motion pictures. He often played villains, including a role as the treacherous informant Regis in Algiers, the American remake of Pepe le Moko, which gained him an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor. He also played the suspicious Georges de la Trémouille, the Dauphin's chief counselor, in the famous 1948 film Joan of Arc, starring Ingrid Bergman. He had a great succession of "good guy" supporting roles including Bob Cratchit in A Christmas Carol (1938) and the judge in Miracle on 34th Street (1947).

She rose to stardom in performances in some of the earliest major studio films to feature black casts, including Carmen Jones in 1954 and Porgy and Bess in 1959. In 1962, Carroll won a Tony Award for best actress, a first for a black woman, for her role in the Broadway musical No Strings. Her 1968 debut in Julia, the first series on American television to star a black woman in a nonstereotypical role, was a milestone both in her career and the medium. In the 1980s she played the role of an interracial diva in the primetime soap opera Dynasty. Carroll was the recipient of numerous stage and screen nominations and awards, including the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress In A Television Series in 1968. She received an Academy Award nomination for Best Actress for the 1974 film Claudine. She was also a breast cancer survivor and activist.

He began as an actor with roles in such films as; Solo, Choke Canyon, Evil in Clear River, Haloween 4, as a stunt man specializing in fights, falls and cars, Bob has been punched by Tommy Lee Jones, dropped by Jim Carrey, shot from the roof of a building, and rolled in a moving van off an exploding bridge. Later as and as a second unit director for "A Boy Named Danger" and "Mr. Atlas". Bob in now focusing on AD work as he continues to build his resume with such films as "Tears of a King" and National Lampoon's "Bag Boy". With 30 years in the film industry he has worked in almost every capacity and within every size budget, can anticipate the needs for each department thereby reducing costs and stress. He began his acting career in 1981 and in 1989 had a co-starring role in Part Ten of director Krzysztof Kieślowski's film series, Dekalog. Four years later, Kieślowski cast him as the lead character, "Karol Karol", in Three Colors: White, the second of his acclaimed Three Colors trilogy. He is a two-time winner of Polish Film Awards for his roles in Robert Gliński's film Hi, Tereska (2001) and Andrzej Jakimowski's film drama Zmróż oczy (2004).
