Charles Allan Hill was an Oneida-Mohawk-Cree stand-up comedian and actor. Born in Detroit, Michigan in 1951, he moved as a child with his family when they returned to their homestead on the Oneida reservation in 1962. Hill was also of Mohawk and Cree ancestry. In 1969, he graduated from West De Pere High School and enrolled at University of Wisconsin–Madison, where he majored in speech and drama. He was involved in the Broom Street Theatre Group. After college he moved to Hollywood, to pursue his dream as a stand-up comedian and actor. Hill's first network appearance was on The Richard Pryor Show in 1977. He was then the first Native American comedian to appear on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson. He also appeared on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, and made multiple appearances on Late Night with David Letterman. Hill appeared on many television shows, and hosted an evening of Native American comedians on a Showtime special. He was the subject of the PBS documentary On and Off The Res' with Charlie Hill (1999), directed by Sandra Osawa. Hill was interviewed about American Indian Movement activist Dennis Banks in the documentary A Good Day to Die. Hill starred in the 1984 film Harold of Orange. He had four children with his wife, Lenora: daughter, Dine' Nizhoni; daughter, Nasbah; daughter, Nanabah; and son, Nabahe. He died from lymphoma in the early morning of December 30, 2013, at the Anna John Nursing Home in Oneida, WI. His death followed a yearlong battle against cancer. While at university he was a member of the experimental Broom Street Theater Group. He also toured Europe as a member of the La MaMa Experimental Theater Group, which was based in New York City.

Brian made first real impression as the mysterious young solider Henry Grenfel in The Fox by D.H. Lawrence at the University of Wyoming. He continued to study theatre and film independently after his first year of college and had since been "working" in film, plays and television commercials while earning his B.A. in English from the University of Northern Colorado in 1997. Brian worked at Qwest Communications for 5 years as a Sr. Design Engineer while acting in plays, commercials, independent films and industrial videos. In 2001 Brian became involved on both sides of the camera with his brother Dean started making short films together starting in 2001. After the brothers short film The Netherbeast of Berm-Tech Indistries, Inc. gained film festival awards and attention, they adapted it into the feature film Netherbeast Incorporated with Bruce Dellis. Brian produced and co-starred in Netherbeast Incorporated with Darrell Hammond, Judd Nelson, Dave Foley, Jason Mewes, Robert Wagner, Steve Burns and Amy Davidson, which was released nationwide in 2009. After the success of his first Indie film, Brian, along with his brother Dean, were brought aboard in 2009 to write for the second season of Tyler Perry's wildly popular TBS sitcom, Tyler Perry's Meet the Browns. Thereafter, Brian produced and co-starred in Lion Gate's 8 Films to Die For: The Graves, starring Tony Todd, Bill Moseley, Amanda Wyss, Clare Grant and Jillian Murray, that hit theaters nationwide in January 2010. In 2010, Brian co-wrote, co-directed and produced with his brother Dean the comedic web series Here & Now, starring Judd Nelson, Traci Lords and Alexis Arquette. Later that year Brian produced and co-starred in Showtime's Dirty Little Trick starring Dean Cain, Michael Madsen and Christie Burson. In 2011, Brian produced the film Sprawl with Tom Malloy while his brother Dean helmed as director starring Nicole Fox, Jennifer Taylor, Michael Madsen and Tom Malloy.

He is best known for collaborating with director Bryan Singer, composing and/or editing many of his films, including Public Access (1993), The Usual Suspects (1995), Superman Returns (2006), Valkyrie (2008) and Jack the Giant Slayer (2013), as well as the X-Men film series. For his work on Singer's 2018 Queen biopic Bohemian Rhapsody, Ottman won the Academy Award for Best Film Editing. Laverne Andrews and her sisters, Patty and Maxene, were one of the most successful women's singing groups, with 19 gold records and sales of nearly 100 million copies. The sisters began performing in the early 1930s when the Depression wiped out their father's business. In 1937, the sisters scored their first big hit with 'Bei Mir Bist Du Schoen.' In addition to 'Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy', their best-known songs included 'Don't Sit Under the Apple Tree' and 'Rum and Coca Cola'. The trio officially broke up after the death of Laverne in 1967, and a suitable replacement could not be found.
