Anne-Sophie Mutter
Born: giu 29, 1963
Rheinfelden, Baden, Germa
Age: 61
Anne-Sophie Mutter (born 29 June 1963) is a German violinist. She was supported early in her career by Herbert von Karajan. As an advocate of contemporary music, she has had several works composed especially for her, by Sebastian Currier, Henri Dutilleux, Sofia Gubaidulina, Witold Lutosławski, Norbert Moret, Krzysztof Penderecki, André Previn, Wolfgang Rihm, John Williams and others. Since her orchestral debut with the Berlin Philharmonic in 1977, Mutter has performed as a prominent soloist with numerous leading orchestras worldwide. Mutter was born in the German town of Rheinfelden, Baden-Württemberg which lies some 15 kilometres (9 mi) east of Basel on the northern bank of the High Rhine river, across which lies the Swiss town of the same name. Her parents were Karl Wilhelm Mutter and Gerlinde Mutter and she was raised with two older brothers. While Mutter's father was a journalist, who edited a newspaper in Baden-Württemberg, her mother was the first woman in her family to graduate from college. Although no one in her family played a musical instrument, Mutter's family was passionate about classical music. Mutter began playing the piano at the age of five, and shortly afterwards took up the violin. At the age of six, Mutter won the National Music Prize, and in 1972, she gave her first concert with the Winterthurer Stadtorchester. Inspired by a recording of violinist Yehudi Menuhin and Wilhelm Furtwängler, she began studying with Erna Honigberger, a pupil of Carl Flesch. After Honigberger's death she continued her studies with Aida Stucki at the Winterthur Conservatory. Mutter's playing began to receive attention and she stopped attending school to devote herself full-time to music. Conductor Herbert von Karajan arranged for her to play with the Berlin Philharmonic. Only 13 years old at the time, she made her public debut on stage in 1976 at the Lucerne Festival, where she played Mozart's Violin Concerto No. 4 in D major. In 1977, she performed at the Salzburg Festival and with the English Chamber Orchestra conducted by Daniel Barenboim. Critics praised the level of maturity in Mutter's performance, with one reviewer of Die Welt writing, "She played it ravishingly, and above all, she did not play it at all like a child prodigy. Her technique is fully mature.” At 15, Mutter made her first recording of the Mozart Third and Fifth violin concerti with Karajan and the Berlin Philharmonic. In 1980, Mutter made her American debut with the New York Philharmonic under Zubin Mehta. In 1985, at the age of 22, she was made an honorary fellow of the Royal Academy of Music (London) and head of its faculty of international violin studies and in 1986 an honorary member. In 1988, she made a grand tour of Canada and the United States, playing for the first time at Carnegie Hall. In 1998 she played and recorded for CD and DVD the complete set of Beethoven's Violin Sonatas, accompanied by Lambert Orkis; these were broadcast on television in many countries. ... Avdotya Smirnova
Born: giu 29, 1969
Moscow, USSR (Russia)
Age: 55
Avdotya (Dunya ) Andreevna Smirnova (Russian: Авдотья (Дуня) Андреевна Смирнова; born 29 June 1969; Moscow) is a Russian film director, screenwriter, producer, TV host and literary critic, winner of numerous awards and accolades, founder of the charity foundation Vikhod. She is a daughter of famous Soviet-Russian director and actor Andrei Smirnov. Avdotya Smirnova was born in Moscow, to actors Natalya Rudnaya and Andrei Smirnov. Her grandfather Sergey Smirnov was a Soviet writer and historian. Smirnova has been interested in cinema since childhood. When her father forbade her to enter Gerasimov Institute of Cinematography, she went to MSU Philology Department. After three years she transferred to GITIS, but didn’t finish her studies. In 1987-88, Smirnova worked at Mosfilm with Sergei Solovyov, in the meantime performing in punk-rock band Tupie and contributing to Urlait samizdat magazine. At the age of 20, Smirnova married Arkady Ippolitov and moved to Leningrad with him. Several years later, in 1995, she was invited to Kommersant and emerged as a journalist, she contributed to Afisha, Vogue, Seans, and other magazines. For some time in the early 2000s she worked as a speechwriter for Union of Right Forces and Anatoly Chubais. In 2002-2014 Smirnova co-hosted The School for Scandal with her long-time friend, Russian writer Tatyana Tolstaya. The program received TEFI award in 2003 in Best Talk Show nomination. Smirnova wrote her first screenplay in 1992. Together with Alexei Uchitel she created The Last Hero (Russian movie) about Kino leader Viktor Tsoi. In 1993, she wrote the Butterfly documentary, also in collaboration with Uchitel. In 1995, Gisele's Mania based on Smirnova’s screenplay was released. In 2000, Alexey Uchitel released His Wife's Diary based on Smirnova's screenplay. Smirnova was awarded at The Hartley-Merrill International Screening Competition. Other movies written by Smirnova are The Stroll (2003), The Connection (2006), Gloss (2007), Fathers and Sons (2008), 9th of May: Personal Perspective. All films met mostly positive responses both by critics and the public. The Connection, released in 2006, became Smirnova's first experience as a director. Her comedy drama Two Days (2011) collected many awards but was much criticized for romanticizing the state officials as one of the protagonists and main hero in the movie was running for governor's post. In parallel with Smirnova's real life marriage to a top-ranking state official, critics perceived the film as an attempt to whitewash the image of the government employees. In 2012, she released Kokoko, a movie co-written with Anna Parmas and directed by Smirnova. The tragicomedy about a Russian museum worker brought its main actress Anna Mikhalkova the Best Prize for acting at Kinotavr 2012 and numerous accolades for Smirnova. In 2016, Smirnova became one of the directors of the Peterburg: only by love cinema almanac, a so-called love letter in a movie form to the cultural capital of Russia. In 2018, Smirnova released The Story of a Single Purpose. The script is based on a true story that happened to 38-years old Leo Tolstoy. In 2021, Smirnova released Vertinsky — an 8-series film about prominent Russian chansonnier Alexander Vertinsky.

Giorgio Napolitano
Born: giu 29, 1925
Naples, Italy
Date of death: set 22, 2023 (98)
Giorgio Napolitano (Italian: [ˈdʒordʒo napoliˈtaːno]; 29 June 1925 – 22 September 2023) was an Italian politician who served as the president of Italy from 2006 to 2015, the first to be re-elected to the office.[1][2] In office for 8 years and 244 days, he was the longest-serving president, until the record was surpassed by Sergio Mattarella in 2023. He also was the longest-lived president in the history of the Italian Republic,[3] which has been in existence since 1946. Although he was a prominent figure of the First Italian Republic, he did not take part in the Constituent Assembly of Italy that drafted the Italian constitution;[3] he is considered one of the symbols of the Second Italian Republic, which came about after the Tangentopoli scandal of the 1990s.[3] Due to his dominant position in Italian politics, some critics have sometimes referred to him as Re Giorgio ("King Giorgio").[4] Napolitano was a longtime member of the Italian Communist Party, which he joined in 1945 after taking part in the Italian resistance movement, and of its post-Communist democratic socialist and social democratic successors, from the Democratic Party of the Left to the Democrats of the Left. He was a leading member of migliorismo, a reformist, moderate, and modernizing faction on the right-wing of the PCI,[5][6][7] which was inspired by the values of democratic socialism,[8] looked favourably to social democracy, and was interested in revisionist Marxism.[9] First elected to the Chamber of Deputies in 1953, he took an assiduous interest in parliamentary life and was president of the Chamber of Deputies from 1992 to 1994. He was Minister of the Interior from 1996 to 1998 during the first Prodi government.[10] A close friend of Henry Kissinger,[11] he was also the first high-ranking leader of a communist party to visit the United States, which he did in 1978.[10]
